May 2008

May 4 - between services - TEA BREAD SALE!!! - The teens of our church will sell homemade breads Sunday, May 4 between services in Fellowship Hall.  You will want to get there quick because these breads sell out every year!  Look for sourdough cheddar, sweet braided breads with almonds or currants and table breads white and wheat.  Table breads are $5.00 and sweet breads are $8.00.  All proceeds will help the teens pay for retreats and mission trips. 

May 4 - 3:00 PM - Harps of Grace, under the direction of Linda Lehman, will be in concert.  This ensemble of 8 harpists provide a variety of music on one of the most beautiful and ancient of instruments. You will enjoy classical music, as well as popular, standards, and even a few surprises from these talented musicians. Donations are accepted.

May 9 - 4:00 PM - MID-LIFE WIDOWS GROUP OUTING - We will take a private tour of the new Miami Valley Hospital Satellite building on the corner of Wilmington and Clyo roads at 4:00 PM.  Anyone who would like to join us, we’ll meet in the lobby, by the grand piano. The tour will last for approximately one hour.   At the conclusion of the tour, we will go to the Cracker Barrel on the corner of Wilmington and Whipp, for a bite of dinner together.

May 10 - Spring Work Day - The spring church cleanup is scheduled for May 10 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and we will be looking for volunteers to help us clean up God’s house.  As usual one of the important items will be installing the window air conditioners and screens in the windows, as well as general clean up. We may add some additional items as time permits. Mark this date on your calendar for some hard work, fellowship, and last but not least free coffee, juice, and donuts.
