Blood Pressure Checks 

 The Normandy Parish Nurse Ministry will sponsor monthly blood pressure checks on the first Sunday morning of each month in the Loggia after each service.   In August, the screening will be August 5 at 9:15AM (between services).  The coordinator of screening is Amy Stockman who will secure the volunteer licensed nurses to take blood pressures. The coordinator of secure data will be Pam Pry. Available for consultation will be physician Dr. Dick Hoback and pharmacist Dr. Nathan Stockman. At Normandy Church we value holistic health ministries.

DID YOU KNOW

  Normandy Church has eight newly certified CPR/AED members. Some are renewals and some are new. Ron Thie, Charlie Keehler, Nicole Tracey, Janet and Carl Simmons, Bob Koogler, and Don and Dotty Overly. We have children and adult pads for Defibrillator resuscitation. They are located in the hallway off the Welcome Center (Narthex).

Have you wondered what Normandy ’s Parish Nurse Committee does and who they are?  Here are some answers to your questions:

 

What does your Parish Committee do?

·         Provide FREE monthly blood pressure screenings. These are on the 1st Sunday of the month in the Library between services

·         Provide a monthly health tip in Normandy News

·         Sponsor a bi-annual Health Fair for Normandy members, guests and friends. The health fair typically     includes informational booths and give-aways, blood pressure screenings, cholesterol and blood sugar screenings and LifeLine vascular screenings.

·         Share a Community Health Resources Guide.  This guide provides contact information on a wide variety of health care related resources available in our community. 

·         Sponsor lectures on topics of interest to the Normandy Community

 

Who are we?

·         Although we are called the Parish Nurse Committee, we are composed of a variety of health care professionals; including physicians, pharmacists and nurses.

·         We are always looking for Health Care Professionals to join our committee.  If you are currently practicing, a current student or a retired health care professional, we would love to have you as part of our team!
