THE MUSIC MINISTRY It seems as if we have just started the choir season yet it is coming to a ‘close’ as summer is fast approaching. I think about the special times we have shared during holidays from Thanksgiving to Christmas, and then right into a glorious Easter season and beyond. The ministry and gift of music is a genuine giving of one’s self through talent and artistry. This gift of God is a unique way to praise His name, and give honor and glory to His presence. If you have a musical talent that you would enjoy sharing, we will be looking for special music throughout the summer! Please let me know if you would like to sign up to sing or play for the 9:30 service during the summer months. Contact me directly or through the church office. Music Sunday is on June
1 and we will celebrate the gift of music to the church as we sing ‘To
God Be The Glory’. Psalm 126:3 says, The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. This verse is the basis of our worship celebration on the 1st of June. We will honor the Lord for the “great things He hath done” and we will observe the wondrous joy that “…so loved He the world, that He gave us His Son, who yielded His life an atonement for sin and opened the lifegate that all may go in.” as we observe the Lord’s Supper together in a musical setting. We will celebrate the seasons of life as we reminisce with songs from Sunday School days with kids from 1 to 101! You are invited to worship with the Music Ministry of Normandy on a very special day of praise. Arrive with a song in your heart as we “ …come to the Father thro’ Jesus the Son, and give Him the Glory; great things He hath done!” Blessings, Rick
